Erik Smuts to succeed De Ruyter as Nampak CEO

Packaging product manufacturer Nampak has appointed Erik Smuts as CEO designate.

He will take over as CEO on January 15, when outgoing CEO Andre de Ruyter takes up the position of CEO at power utility Eskom.

Smuts has more than 22 years of experience in the manufacturing and packaging industry and he has worked at Nampak for more than a decade.

He holds a BCom (Acc) Hons, CA(SA) and ACMA (UK) and has participated in the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School and the Global Executive Development Programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
