Eqstra Heavy Lift Equipment
Established in 2011, Eqstra Heavy Lift Equipment (EHLE) is the industrial heavy lifting and port equipment arm of Eqstra Industrial Equipment, which forms a part of the JSE-listed Eqstra Holdings Group.
EHLE provides the industrial sector with a comprehensive range of services, including long- and short-term rentals, parts supply, service and maintenance contracts, sales of new and used equipment and operator driver training.
The division’s product line includes cranes, port terminal handling equipment, excavators and innovative, large tracked equipment systems, among other heavy equipment.
EHLE is a supplier and distributor of Broderson carry-deck mobile cranes, as well as the Sleipner transport system, specialising in the mobility of large tracked equipment. Following the signing of an authorised partnership agreement with Toyota Tsusho Africa, EHLE now also distributes the Kobelco range of excavators with an operating weight of up to 85 t.
Further, EHLE is in the process of adding Link-Belt mobile cranes to its portfolio of heavy equipment. Known worldwide for its telescopic booms and lattice boom cranes, Link-Belt offers the construction industry one of the most diverse line-ups of cranes.
Besides their reliability and smooth, pinpoint hydraulic controls, Link-Belt cranes also have unique features that set them apart from competing products. For example, the incorporation of a hydrostatic drive on the six-wheel rough-terrain cranes eliminates the need for axles and provides a tighter turning radius, which ensures greater flexibility on the job site. The use of a six-wheel rough-terrain crane also allows for lower-profile tyres, which reduce the overall deck and transport height for ease of transport.
ELHE stocks a full range of parts for all the products it supplies and also provides aftermarket service and support.
