Brazilian major aerospace group Embraer has announced that it delivered its 1 500th executive, or business, jet to a client last week. The company achieved this milestone in only 20 years, while the industry average for reaching this number was 34 years. The 1 500th delivery by the group was a Phenom 300E light business jet, and the customer was Swiss aircraft management, brokerage and charter company Haute Aviation.

“This landmark delivery of Haute Aviation reflects our commitment to delivering the ultimate experience in business aviation,” affirmed Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Michael Amalfitano. “With our industry-leading portfolio, we always seek to redefine the customer experience through technology, performance and comfort. We are thrilled to deliver this experience to Haute Aviation and enthusiastically welcome them as a first-time Embraer customer.”

Haute Aviation is based at Saanen-Gstaad Airport, within the Swiss Alps. The company has hitherto operated a mix of types aimed at very different markets, including both single-engine turboprops and ultra-long-range aircraft. It was seeking to diversify its portfolio and selected the Phenom 300E to achieve this.

With a range of 3 724 km (2 010 nautical miles), the Phenom 300E is the longest-ranged business jet in the light category and can cover the whole of Europe from Switzerland, with all its seats occupied. It is also the fastest jet in its category, with a top speed of Mach 0.80 (Mach 1.0 being the speed of sound), and this was another reason the Swiss company selected the type.

Moreover, the aircraft has excellent climb performance and situational awareness technologies, ideal for operations in the Swiss Alps. The Phenom 300E is equipped with Synthetic Vision System, which increases the situational awareness of the pilot. It is also the first business aircraft to be fitted with a runway overrun awareness and alerting system.

“For Haute Aviation, the new Phenom 300E is the best product on the market to complete the range of our fleet,” said Haute Aviation marketing and communication head Catherine Tamagni. “We believe the aircraft’s two engines will suit our passengers who prefer not to fly in a single-engine aircraft, as this allows for uncompromised range and payload performance. However, we are most confident that our charter clients will be impressed by the fantastic cabin with its best-in-class altitude, low noise and extreme comfort.”
