As a proudly South African organization, DLM has embodied quality and service when it comes to providing our customers with the right products. DLM is renowned for having the right solutions for overpressure protection; flow, level and density measurement; automation and control requirements and maintain a substantial stock holding with a branch infrastructure capable of providing skilled technical and sales service.

As a company that employed 8 people when it began as Dupleix Valves in 1960 and merged with SA Liquid Meters back in the 80’s, we have grown into an organization that now employees over 150 staff members around South Africa. DLM has many years of technical expertise within the valve industry and offers an extensive range that covers all operating types and is available in a wide variety of materials to suit different media, pressure and temperature requirements. We are one of Southern Africa’s leading suppliers of valves, pneumatic actuators and accessories as well as control valves and severe service ball valves.

DLM supports a wide variety of industries in the South African market as well as the Sub Saharan region including mining, petrochemical, sugar, pulp and paper, food and beverage, oil and gas, power generation and pharmaceutical. Our exclusive agency agreements with valve manufacturers worldwide allow us to provide the right product for the job on hand.

DLM has exclusive agency agreements with the following valve manufacturers:

  • Habonim Ball Valve and Pneumatic Actuators
  • Okumura Butterfly Valves
  • V-Tork Knife Gate Valves
  • Swiss Fluid Polymer Lined Valves
  • Bailey/Birkett Pressure and Safety Relief Valves
  • Braukmann Pressure Reducing Valves
  • Praher Thermoplastic Valves
  • Mogas Severe Service Ball Valves
  • Bayoi API Globe, Check and Gate Valves
  • Buracco Fire Safe Butterfly and Check Valves

In 1994 DLM acquired the Rienzi knife gate and non-return valve product range and has grown the brand into a well-established and recognized product in the market place due to its robust design and quality. The Rienzi product range is locally manufactured by DLM and conforms to the local content manufacturing requirements of South Africa.

The Rienzi Knife Gate Valves are ideally suited for abrasive duty applications and come in a variety of materials with a range of actuator options.

  • No bottom cavity where material can accumulate and prevent proper seating.
  • Rienzi’s sealing arrangement allows for bi-directional flow.
  • Rienzi’s unique rubber lining process means:
    • Longer life due to wear characteristics of natural rubber.

    • True bonding is achieved, which prevents lifting.

    • Additional rubber on the lower sealing surface ensures bubble tight seal even if small particles are trapped under the blade. This prevents the extremely harmful corner leakage, a well-known initiator of blade failure.

  • Robust a-frame support with slotted holes to suit proximity sensors.

DLM in partnership with our suppliers have spent a number of years growing the South African valve industry and look to continue on this path by strengthening our foothold on Africa and establishing business partnerships with local distributors in country. DLM is focused on placing the right resources and people in country to provide the best solution for all.
