Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba addressing staff at Airways Park, alongside OR Tambo International Airport, last week. Reporting back after the first meeting of the new South African Airways board, Gigaba (who made a similar input to staff during his time as Public Enterprises Minister) outlined the latest plan for turning around the embattled national carrier. Seated directly behind the Minister is new chairperson JB Magwaza, who has taken over from the controversial Dudu Myeni. New CEO Vuyani Jarana (seated to the right of Gigaba) also looks on, as does deputy chairperson Nolitha Fakude (seated left).
