Dangote CEO recovering in hospital following stroke

Cement manufacturer Dangote Cement South Africa, trading as Sephaku Cement, CEO Pieter Fourie was admitted to hospital on May 9 after he suffered a stroke.

The company on May 11 said he was receiving medical care and responding well to treatment.

In the meantime, the company’s executive team will continue to lead the organisation.

Operations executive Duan Claassen has been appointed acting CEO.
