IBM describes its X-Force Command Cyber Tactical Operations Center as a first-of-a-kind training, simulation and security operation on wheels. Painted black and emblazoned with IBM’s logo, a 23 t trailer, with expandable side panels, is hauled by a Mercedes-Benz Actros heavy-duty truck. The trailer houses the group’s X-Force Command Cyber Tactical Operation Center, equipped with a 20-seat operations centre, flat-screen monitors and phones, all facing a massive high-definition video wall. It also has on board a 100-terabyte VMWare data centre. The ‘big rig’ began its tour of Europe in mid-January, during which the mobile cybersecurity unit (photographed above) will train corporate teams how to respond to cybersecurity incidents.
