A week-long conference, aimed at facilitating networking between major role-players in the global oil industry, will run from November 3 to 7 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Advisory firm Global Pacific & Partners will host the twenty-first edition of the yearly event, Africa Oil Week/Africa Upstream Conference. The event will focus on recent industry trends and cover critical issues from Madagascar to Mauritania and Cape to Cairo.

The organisers of the event promise networking possibilities with key corporate executives within the oil industry, senior executives in major, independent and national oil companies; State oil officials and Ministerial government delegations, who together will make up the most prominent yearly conference on the oil and gas-liquid natural gas (LNG) and energy industry for Africa.

Within the Africa Oil Week 2014 programme, there will be 65 corporate/State speakers and private and public companies looking to execute acreage deals and farm-outs, combining a programme with over 140 corporate industry exhibitors, numerous government roadshows for acreage/asset transaction, along with the presence of major energy banking institutions, institutional oil and equity investors, project financiers, multilaterals, transaction advisers and a wide range of growing service and supply industry operators from across Africa’s oil and gas-LNG value chain.

Event organisers claim the conference has long pioneered, and continues to shape, the consolidation of strategy and technical geosciences knowledge about Africa’s oil and gas, and has shaped the portfolio in the wider exploration world.

Since 1994, the event has been widely recognised for forging and enhancing relationships.

In conjunction with the 2014 Africa Oil Week Conference, the sixteenth edition of the Scramble for Africa Strategy Briefing will be held on November 3 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
