OEM equipment supplier Maximum Equipment started operations in 1995 with the sales and marketing of quality used equipment. Over the years, the company has expanded into the sales and hire of excavators and attachments, most notably hydraulic hammers.

Maximum Equipment has become a featured supplier of quality plant and machinery to many blue-chip South African organisations in the earthmoving, mining, demolition, materials handling and construction industry.

Having noted the “superior engineering, quality and performance” of earthmoving construction machinery manufacturer Hidromek’s products – evidenced by it being ranked as one of the top 40 construction equipment manufacturers and wining 17 international design awards – Maximum Equipment became officially dealers for Hidromek Excavators in 2015 and subsequently the Hidromek TLB dealers in 2018.

The Hidromek dealership came almost a decade after Maximum Equipment secured a sole dealership agreement for the Southern African region with the Korean-based hydraulic breakers and attachments manufacturer Komac and Korean attachment manufacturer Torpedo in 2006.

Last year, Maximum Equipment added equipment manufacturer Merlo’s telehandlers and concrete mixer trucks to its stable last year, delivering the first unit in August 2019 and their second unit in April 2020.

Through an impressive cycle of organic growth, and with more than 20 years of collective experience in the industry, Maximum Equipment has become synonymous with quality products supported by reliable after sales and service backup.

Its mission statement is that it hopes to grow into a national company with a reputation for supplying high quality, well-engineered construction equipment and specialised solution-driven excavator attachments for the construction and mining sector.

Additionally, its sales team is supported by finance specialists who have a solid understanding of operational and financial requirements across all spectrums of business offering a range of finance products.

With good parts back and a team of qualified field technicians., the company can tend to any mechanical or servicing queries that its clients may require and can support machines anyway in the country.
