Torga’s range of prescription safety lens solutions to meet the needs of demanding occupations and industry, is now locally manufactured for the South African market.
Torga Optical has partnered with German company, Uvex, to manufacture and market EN166-compliant safety eyewear in Southern Africa. Selected safety-accredited Torga practices offer prescription safety eyewear for patients who are engaged in hazardous occupations, such as mining and manufacturing.
As the only vertically-integrated eyecare business in Southern Africa, with frame and lens manufacturing supply chains, Torga Optical emphasises its mission to offer superior service and quality eyecare to customers at highly competitive prices.
All Torga Optical safety eyewear lens products are manufactured and assembled into Uvex safety frames by Torga Optical Lens Manufacturing, located in Cape Town. The products are manufactured using German precision lens technology to produce state-of-the-art ophthalmic lenses, including digital freeform progressive lenses with high quality hard and vacuum coatings.
A wide range of safety lens solutions is available for a variety of occupations and requirements. Torga Optical will tailor specific solutions to specific requirements, according to clients’ needs.
