Due to the fast-spreading nature of Corona Virus (COVID-19), the disinfecting of communal and public spaces has become a necessity across the globe. This is crucial in the pursuit of curbing this virus. Cleaning of surfaces followed by disinfection is the best practice for prevention of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory illnesses. This is due to the nature of this virus, as current evidence suggests that the virus can remain airborne and can remain active on surfaces for an extended period.

We have designed a range of products that that will assist clients to mitigate risk and ultimately protect persons within their respective industries. Disinfectant can be costly, time consuming and difficult to apply. Thus, it is essential that disinfectant application units work as fast and efficiently as possible. This is achieved through our fine and dry misting collision technology, which enables large surface areas or volumes to be disinfected with only small amounts of disinfectant.

Our focus is illustrated (but is not limited to the) below:

  • public transport facilities; trains, buses, airports and taxis, etc.,
  • public facilities such as shopping malls, healthcare facilities, public service facilities and restaurants,
  • community facilities such as schools, day care centers, municipal buildings and office parks, etc.

Disinfectant can be rapidly dispersed into a volume within a room to disinfect surfaces or it can be applied directly onto a surface at a lower rate, both methods can be applied using I-CAT’s novel disinfectant units.

The disinfectant units are equipped with the latest technology using nozzles that are unique and custom designed to atomize fluid into tiny droplets. Dual medium nozzles use a combination of air and water to achieve a dry mist that is paramount to the application of surfactants that will further assist in the breakdown of the negatively-charged residues that are involved in virus assembly of all coronavirus proteins. (Sandhya Verma, 2006).

Any disinfectant that is listed by the United States Environmental Agency (EPA) under “List N: Disinfectants for Use against SARS-CoV-2”, or disinfectants with equivalent active ingredients to those listed, should be used with our Disinfectant Units.

The FOG-Unit Disinfectant Tunnel is a compact passageway that generates a disinfectant fog that provides effective sanitation and decontamination of people and items at schools, hospitals, office buildings, shopping malls, mines etc.

Sanitation is achieved through the application of a suitable sanitiser or disinfectant in a fine mist form, saturating the air in the passage. The unit is intended as an obligatory passage, especially for occupancies requiring people to work closely together in groups.  It is also quick and easy to erect and is suitable for permanent or temporary installation.

Basic Unit Features:

  • Durable Light-weight frame for fast assembly
  • Interlocking rubber mats for flooring purpose
  • Standard Air Compressor; Low pressure mist application @ 4 bar operating pressure
  • 100L tank (180 minutes of continuous spray time)
  • Easy refillable on site
  • Manual / Auto on - off switch
  • 2 x Specialised misting nozzles with application rate of 0,25 liters per minute each, creating a fine, dry mist for quick sanitation
  • Disinfectant at a dilution ratio of 3:100 (3%), enables a running cost of R114.00 per hour.
  • 1 x 25L FOG-Unit Tunnel Disinfectant concentrate (830L of disinfectant solution or 2,490 minutes (41,5 hours) of continuous spray)
  • 1 x Foot Stand Disinfectant Dispenser

Our Foot Stand Disinfectant Units are made from stainless steel ensuring the durability of the product are strong and of high-quality. This disinfected unit can be placed at the entrance of any school classroom, shopping centers, restaurant, hospital or public gathering areas.  The Foot Stand Disinfectant Unit comes with a wall mount unit to preclude thieving of the units.

Optional extras

  • Additional 100L cylinder (extra 180 continuous minutes spray time)
  • Replace standard 100L tank with 230L cylinder (420 minutes continuous spray time)
  • Composite mentis grating, replacing interlocking rubber mats
  • Trolleys for cylinders

The Mobile Disinfectant Unit is custom-made for rapid disinfecting of enclosed voids or volumes such as school class/hall rooms, offices, hospital wards, trains, or buses. The unit is fitted on a trolley with a dual medium low-pressure atomizing   nozzle which disperses disinfectant in a mist form. High concentration of mist volume ensures that all surfaces are adequately covered with disinfectant.

Basic Unit Features:

  • Durable, heavy-duty Trolley
  • Standard Air Compressor; Low pressure mist application @ 4 bar operating pressure
  • 16L tank (60 minutes of continuous spray time), covers minimum area of 400m2
  • 10m hosepipe that enables spraying of a large area continuously without moving the trolley
  • Easy refillable on site
  • Specialised misting nozzles with application rate of 0,25 liters per minute, creating a fine, dry mist for quick sanitation
  • Disinfectant at a dilution ratio of 1:100 (1%), enables a running cost of R9.00 per hour.
  • 1 x Disinfectant Concentrate Refill (25L)
