South African Airways’ (SAA’s) low-cost carrier, Mango, together with Boeing, recently conducted Africa’s first flights using jet biofuel, harvested from Project Solaris, South Africa’s only biofuel feedstock plant, based in Marble Hall, Limpopo. Pictured above is SAA acting CEO Musa Zwane with Sunchem CEO Sergio Tommasini, Boeing VP Miguel Santos and SkyNRG CEO Maarten van Dijk, who ‘assisted’ with the fuelling of the plane before the historic flight.
