Chevron Africa-Pakistan and Chevron Brands International have a committed strategy to maintain and grow the Caltex-branded service station network across South Africa and Botswana, beyond the expiration of the current licence agreement in 2024.

This development is aligned with its licensing growth strategy, in terms of which it has successfully expanded the Caltex footprint with key partners in other parts of Africa and beyond.

Chevron is one of the world’s biggest integrated energy companies and has been present in South Africa for more than 80 years.

Caltex – a global Chevron marketing brand – is currently used under licence in South Africa and Botswana.

Chevron will expand the Caltex fuel network in collaboration with local partners, seeking to leverage the Caltex brand strength and premium fuels with its proprietary Techron additive.

Only Caltex-branded service stations offer Caltex with Techron fuels that clean and protect engines from friction while you drive, with the new clean and glide technology, Chevron noted in a December 14 statement.
