Chery signs off on 100-unit deal with Hertz
Chinese vehicle importer Chery has wrapped up its first large fleet transaction, handing over 100 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro models to Hertz Rent A Car.
The transaction follows shortly after Chery created a dedicated fleet sales division with Lazola Qungwana at the helm.
“We opened our doors earlier this year in response to the overwhelming interest in Chery vehicles, both from small and large corporate buyers,” says Qungwana.
As part of its offering to vehicle rental fleets, Chery guarantees same-day services for vehicles it receives before 14:00.
The company has also made special arrangements with its dealers for weekend services and repairs on Saturdays.
Chery says it also guarantees the transport of any vehicle that needs attention to the nearest Chery dealer.
In the event that a service or repair part is not available, Chery guarantees that the vehicle will not be stationary for more than five days.
“The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro…has become not only our best-selling model range, but it is now also a top-ten best-selling vehicle in South Africa,” says Qungwana.
