Electron Technologies (Pty) Ltd, known simply as ‘Electron’ and Blockpower have entered into a cooperation agreement to provide services in and around Southern Africa.

As a SABS ISO 9001:2015 listed company with a CIDB rating of EP8 and EB7 and BBEE Level 2 Certified, Electron has been providing quality electrical products and services to the industrial sector since it was established in Braamfontein in 1967.

With over 300 systems in operations, Blockpower prides itself as being a house of quality in residential and industrial solar, off-grid systems and hybrid energy solution in Southern Africa. This strategic partnership between Electron and Blockpower will therefore forge an improved capability to provide industrial electrical services, containerized factory solutions and implementation services to customers around sub Saharan Africa.

A cooperation with an experienced partners, such as Electron, enables Blockpower to not only implement, manufacture and supply solar and renewable energy systems, but custom manufacture, a lot of the components, allowing us to a quick turnaround time at cost effective rates. Our energy solutions thereby become cost effective, ensuring fast turnaround, and custom solution for each of our customer’s energy needs.

No singular renewable energy project is the same and nor should a renewable energy system be an off the shelf solution. We therefore can provide tailored solution for each customer’s specific need, says Kyle Bohnsack: managing director, Blockpower.

With the combined Expertise, BBEE Level, CIDB rating, SANS and ISO certifications, this Strategic Cooperation Agreement allows Blockpower to step into a very new realm. It therefore adds a lot more experience behind the products or solutions that are manufactured, as well as supporting projects, so that not only do we manufacture and install these systems, we are able to provide operation and maintenance of these solutions remotely to an extent and we also have maintenance onsite for the full service, offering a full from beginning to end reliability for our customers.
