AMSA to report strong interim results

Steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) expects to deliver a strong set of results for the six months ended June 30.

In a trading statement, it says it expects to report headline earnings of at least R1.69-billion and headline earnings a share of at least R1.76.

Earnings are expected to be at least R1.69-billion and earnings a share at least R1.57.

This compares with the headline loss of R2.61-billion and the basic loss of R2.3-billion reported for the six months ended June 30, 2020.

AMSA will publish its results on July 29.
