An efficient and effective transport system is essential to the success of any economy and Africa is no exception. From freight to passenger, Africa’s railway systems holds the key to the continents’ development. We are seeing this in some of the world’s fastest growing economies, who call Africa home, who rely on rail.

Africa’s railways are in a state of much needed upgrade and African governments are giving the green light to fundamental railway projects. With railway lines that have become too old to operate, cape gauge railways which need to be upgraded, and outdated signalling systems, railway operators and transport ministries are making huge changes to their rail networks right now.

We have put together a Project Update eBook for you to browse through. We hope you gain insightful information on railway projects that are planned or currently underway in Africa and how you can get involved in developing world class railway systems on the continent.
