London-listed African Pioneer has entered into an agreement to acquire a further 15% interest in the Ongombo and Ongeama projects, in Namibia, increasing its interest in each to 85%, for A$528 000.

The company has started preparations for applying for a mining licence for the Ongombo project.

Both projects are geologically located within the Kuiseb formation, which hosts copper/gold mineralisation, and are described as Besshi-type volcanic-hosted massive sulphides.
