AECOM appoints new Civil Infrastructure Managing Director for Africa

AECOM has appointed Darrin Green as its new Managing Director for Civil Infrastructure in Africa, starting in January 2017. Green is a professional engineer with 26 years’ experience in civil engineering and management.
He joins from WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff, where he is an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer: Transport & Infrastructure.

Darrin has been Project Director and Manager on a range of development-, transportation- and infrastructure-related projects, from concept through to design and implementation, commissioning and close-out. He has had extensive interaction with both public and private sector clients, as well as international investors, clients and partners.

Green has worked extensively across Africa, including South Africa, Lesotho, Ghana, South Sudan, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Angola, Zambia, Guinea, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Nigeria, and in the Middle East.
He has a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MSc in Traffic and Transportation from the University of Natal, where he received a joint scholarship from the South African Road Federation and the University of Natal.

Green is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and as a Professional Construction Project Manager with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions.
