The lightweight and portable brazing unit, with a nonrefillable steel oxygen bottle for universal applications, is suitable for brazing repair work, the warming of bearings for replacements and the maintenance and installation of steel and copper pipes and air-conditioning units.
The kit weighs 5 kg, and has a flame temperature of up to 3 100°C with oxygen, and a working temperature of up to 1 250°C for oxyacetylene welding, and up to 730°C with the brazing torch using Maxigas 400. It has a sharp pointed flame. The fine regulation of gas allows for enhanced consumption and is suitable for a working range between 0,1-mm and 2,5-mm material thickness. The kit can be used for brazing using Maxigas and oxygen, as well as for soft soldering work using only Maxigas and without hoses being attached.
The Roxy-Kit 3100°C set includes a disposable 110-bar oxygen bottle, a 600-ml Maxigas 400 disposable gas cartridge, with automatic safety closure. There is a fuel-gas precision regulator valve with a nonreturn safety mechanism and a pressure-reducing oxygen valve. The handle has precision regulator valves, a flashback arrestor and a set of hoses. The high-performance welding nozzle is 0,9 mm in diameter, and there is a micronozzle adapter with four micronozzles of between 0,3 mm to 0,7 mm, as well. Welding goggles, a safety igniter, a nozzle mixer tube and union nut, a torch wrench, a transport stand with bottle holders and a 22-mm brazing torch head, for use with the Maxigas, are also included with the kit.
The kit is primarily aimed at tradespeople in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration and the plumbing industries, as well as other industry related applications.
The kit was developed in Germany.
