Recently, Sungrow, the global leading inverter solution supplier for renewables, partnered with Hudaco Energy, a member of the JSE-listed Hudaco Industries group with a history of 130 years, to introduce its hybrid inverter and battery storage solution for residential and commercial segments in South Africa. This solution provides a more durable and stable clean energy supply for end-users and simplifies the installation, operation and maintenance, thereby saving time and costs significantly. Sungrow and Hudaco Energy are ready to offer it together with comprehensive service and certified training.

The hybrid plus battery storage solution introduced by Sungrow will satisfy the increasing needs of the C&I and residential market with more consumers and businesses moving towards “energy independence” with the use of renewable energy. This series covers the single-phase and three-phase hybrid inverters of 6kVA and 10kVA as well as HV Lithium-Ion batteries of 9.6kW to 25.6kWh and can be parallel to a maximum of 102,4kWh. Such flexible applications allow customers to choose their desired solution to suit their needs and budget. After installing hybrid inverters and batteries, end-users can enjoy a stable and reliable energy supply, as the seamless on and off-grid switching function works continuously to power the houses even during power outages or blackouts.

Sungrow prioritizes simplifying the installation, operation, and management. Currently, South Africa’s solar installers and end-users experience inconvenient installation and use, noise, and high temperatures. As a result, Sungrow designed this new series with an ultra-thin panel and compact design, making these systems smaller, lighter, and easier for heat dissipation. In addition, the “Plug and Play” feature further simplifies installation and post-maintenance. Moreover, for ease and convenience, customers can assess the 24/7 real-time operating status via the iSolarCloud app. The built-in Energy Management System and online IV scan result in more efficient and smarter energy usage.

As the C&I and residential markets in South Africa develop quickly, Sungrow keeps investing more efforts to better serve the C&I and residential users. A major effort is establishing a channel partnership with Hudaco Industries, which focuses on value-added distribution channels in growing markets and industries with an emphasis on ethics. Hand in Hudaco Energy, Sungrow looks forward to leading the next-level growth in South Africa’s solar installer market with durable hybrid inverter solutions. Hudaco Energy’s value-added support gives solar installers and engineers access to their national network of distribution channels and expert technical support for solar installers and engineers. Hudaco Energy is committed to providing the best renewable energy products for all solar installers and engineers in South Africa. They also provide solar installers and engineers access to their online partner portal which provides access to system configurators, online ordering, and certified training seminars.

This partnership is integral in increasing Sungrow’s presence within the South African distribution market, through which Sungrow looks forward to shipping a total of 500MW this year, thus, dominating South Africa’s solar market growth.
