The South African Institution of Civil Engineering (Saice) has welcomed the establishment of the newly formed construction industry umbrella body, the Construction Alliance South Africa (Casa).
Saice CEO Vishaal Lutchman says the institution “looks forward to playing an active role in creating a united voice in our quest to lead the post-Covid recovery of the industry, as well as tackling a number of longstanding issues such as transformation of the sector, corruption and unethical business practices”.
Saice is one of Casa’s founding members.
Chaired by industry stalwart John Matthews, Casa aims to bring Saice and 28 other South African professional bodies and contractors within the construction industry together, with the shared vision of an innovative, competitive and transformed industry.
