RS Components SA, the global distributor for engineers, will be at the Mining & Technical Exhibition Rustenburg on 21 July 2016 at the Impala Rugby Club, exhibiting the new RS Pro range of products that offers customers a combination of quality, performance and competitive pricing.

MTE has been in operation since 1993 and organises shows around major areas in South Africa. Through collaboration with mining houses MTE is able to tailor each show to fit the needs of mines in the surrounding areas. MTE Rustenburg will celebrate its 12th exhibition at the Impala Rugby Club this year, creating a space where suppliers can offer visitors innovative products and technology.

Rustenburg is home to the two largest platinum mines in the world and the world's largest platinum refinery. According to the latest municipal data mining contributed 68% to gross domestic product and was responsible for 50% of direct jobs and 15% of indirect jobs in the area in 2011. As a result of the mining activity in the region, there has been an increased focus on social development, despite the economic crises due to the slump in the commodity market.

RS Components offers a wide range of tools and equipment, to support planned and emergency maintenance needs. The range of key RS Pro products targeting plant maintenance applications include heavy-duty cabinets and tool modules, lead-acid batteries, LED lamps, extension reels, cable ties and fastener kits.

It is essential for engineers to find and deal with electrical problems safely and quickly in hard to reach places inside panels, cabinets or equipment. Key product solutions from RS include wireless inspection and thermal-imaging cameras, such as the FLIR CM174 all-in-one clamp meter with built-in thermal imager, power measurement tools from Fluke, lamps from Osram, RS Pro safety lockouts, tools for working at height from Facom, and other electrical devices including cables and sockets.

RS also provides information on a range of essential workshop products, such as adhesives, tapes, tools, personal protection equipment and labels.

Visit the RS Components stand at MTE Rustenburg on 21 July 2016 at the Impala Rugby Club.
