Reeds House will be home to one of the largest motor dealerships in the country, which is being rebranded Reeds following the Delta Group’s global alignment with General Motors. This dealership will house the Opel, Isuzu, Chevrolet and Saab brands and is part of a massive reinvestment by Reeds, which includes a new-look Opel and Isuzu dealership in Tygervalley and a move to a new N1 City dealership.
Reeds chairperson Ian Bell says the new building is set to transform the Culemborg area further. “The area is an ideal motor industry node and a number of other motor dealerships are already in the vicinity,” he says.
The company’s new modern aluminium-clad building will offer 9 000 m2 of motor dealership space and up to 2 000 m2 of A-grade lettable office space.
It will also provide two floors of undercover secure parking, enough for about 250 cars, which will serve a major need, as parking is in short supply in the area.
“We made a strategic decision when we started formulating plans to develop the site, to include more than enough parking as it is at a real premium in the area,” says Bell.
The 12-month project has also had a positive influence on local job creation, where more than 60 people have benefited.
The building is set for completion in August by builder and developer Lovemore.
