MD Kit Williamson says that Macsteel VRN is currently installing a new cut length line, which should be commissioned shortly.
“The new line will be able to decoil, level and cut coils up to 6 mm in thickness and 2 000 mm wide,” Williamson explains.
Macsteel VRN ensures that its customers have access to stainless steel that has been cut, bent, rolled, drilled, blanked or polished, according to their speci-fications.
Stockists of stainless steel in sheet, plate, coils, sections, tubes and round bars, the Roodekop-based company operates a comprehensive cut-to-size operation, using coil processing equipment, such as slitting lines, cut-to-length lines and blanking lines.
Other equipment includes laser profilers, plasma profilers, polishing equipment, guillotines, bending brakes, drills and straightening equipment.
Macsteel VRN supplies its pro-ducts to the manufacturing and mining industries, including the transport, chemicals, petrochemi-cals, catering and architectural sectors.
