Pretoria-based cleaning products manufacturer Tecno Chem plans to launch two new green products onto the South African market early next year.
Tecno Chem owner Vossie Vorster says the company is plan- ning to launch a heavy-duty degreaser and an industrial cleaning agent that do not harm the environment after use.
Several samples of the two green products are undergoing testing to ensure they meet the quality requirements of Tecno Chem.
Further, Tecno Chem follows a continuous process to systematically replace raw materials that are associated with adverse environmental impact with newer generation materials that have a less negative impact on the environment.
“We are noticing that the industrial and commercial cleaning market is significantly competitive; therefore, we have to continuously keep an eye on pricing in terms of what is an acceptable asking price and what our competitors are asking,” he says.
However, Vorster notes that the key to Tecno Chem’s success, despite its factory being gutted by a fire last year, is its consistency. “We have loyal customers because we offer reliable products and consumers know that using our products for their cleaning applications will produce the same satisfactory results, every time,” he says.
He adds that the company values customer feedback. “If a customer complains about any of our products, we use their feedback as a tool to further improve our products by enhancing them to meet the requirements of a diverse range of customers.”
Tecno Chem offers hand cleaners, degreasers and floor cleaners to the industrial cleaning sector.
The company’s offering also includes the commercial cleaning sector that caters for large contractors tasked with cleaning malls and large office parks. Tecno Chem provides a range of hygiene products, from hand soaps to floor cleaners, as well as scrubbers, cloths, vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops and mop trolleys.
Tecno Chem also offers cleaning products for use in households.
Tecno Chem completed the expansion of its premises, in Pretoria, last month by adding a 400 m2 retail outlet, called Cleaning Warehouse PTA West.
