The show is currently 80% booked and exhibitors include Avnet Kopp, Siemens/Electrocomp, Arrow Altech, Motorola and Zetech.
In addition to the electrical components, test and measurement instrumentation, surface mount technology, power supplies and batteries, microprocessors, embedded products, cabling, networking and protection systems will also feature at the exhibition.
Running alongside Adec 2003, in an adjacent venue is PMRA 2003, hosted by the Professional Mobile Radio Association, with exhibitors including manufacturers, suppliers and network operators specialising in two-way radio technology, radio alarm systems, radio paging, video telemetry, mapping, satellite and microwave technologies.
“This is the first time that the Adec expo will be incorporating a range of parallel events with similar technological features, that should help boost the visitor numbers, says Progroup Shows and Conferences CEO Mike Bowes.
Progroup also organises the industrial laboratory equipment supply exhibition LabAfrica.
LabAfrica 2004, a biennial exhibition, is scheduled to take place in June next year, and will profile a growing contingent of medical diagnostic companies, says Bowes.
Established in South Africa in 1980, Progroup organises exhibitions and special events, as well as providing turnkey solutions for the design and construction of exhibition stands and event infrastructure.
