Specialist in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of industrial and commercial equipment Advanced Industrial Technology (Ai-Tec) has completed a three-year mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance contract for the Department of Defence, for the 4 South African Infantry Battalion, in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
“This multimillion-rand project, which took three years to complete, included the repair and maintenance of electrical and mechanical installations to ensure all facilities operate at full capacity and accord- ing to stringent quality and safety standards,” says Ai-Tec director Arnold Retief.
“Ai-Tec was responsible for the hot water generating, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and refrigeration installations, as well as the installation of kitchen equip-ment, standby power systems and all the electrical systems.”
The company submitted a health and safety strategy before the start of operations to ensure all work complies with stringent specifications for this project. This plan also complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. Ai-Tec’s quality standards conform to the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system certification.
Ai-Tec manufactures a range of equipment for commercial and industrial applications, including hospitals, military bases, correctional service institutions, hotels and boarding schools.
