Rhodes University

Rhodes University is a public research university located in Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown) in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The institution is known for its strong academic reputation, particularly in the humanities, social sciences and environmental studies. Rhodes University operates on a residential college model and maintains a relatively small student body compared with other South African universities, which allows for a high staff-to-student ratio and close academic mentoring.
