Renault

Renault is a French multinational automotive manufacturer that produces cars, vans and commercial vehicles. The company is headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris, and operates manufacturing facilities and sales networks across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Renault is part of the Renault Group, which also includes the Alpine and Mobilize brands, and maintains strategic partnerships with other automotive manufacturers. The company produces a wide range of vehicles from small city cars to light commercial vehicles, with a growing portfolio of electric and hybrid models. Renault has a significant presence in the African market, particularly in South Africa and North Africa, where it manufactures and distributes passenger cars, bakkies and commercial vehicles. The company is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange and employs about 170 000 people worldwide. Renault's commercial vehicle division competes with brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, MAN and Volvo in the light and medium commercial vehicle segments. The company was founded in 1899 by Louis Renault and his brothers and has grown to become one of Europe's largest automotive manufacturers.
