Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar and one of the world's leading international airlines. The airline is headquartered in Doha and operates from its hub at Hamad International Airport, one of the most modern aviation facilities globally. Qatar Airways is wholly owned by the Qatari government through the Qatar Investment Authority. The carrier provides scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 170 destinations across six continents, with a strong presence in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania. Its African network includes cities such as Nairobi, Abidjan, Accra and Addis Ababa, while its Asian routes extend to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Colombo, Dhaka, Islamabad and Karachi. Qatar Airways is a member of the Oneworld global airline alliance and has won numerous industry awards for service quality and operational excellence. The airline operates one of the youngest and most advanced fleets in the industry, comprising Airbus and Boeing wide-body aircraft. Qatar Airways employs tens of thousands of staff from around the world and generates billions of dollars in annual revenue. The carrier was established in 1993 and relaunched in 1997 under new management, subsequently expanding rapidly to become a major force in global aviation and a cornerstone of Qatar's economic diversification strategy.
