Rail safety head suspended, goes to court
The National Department of Transport has confirmed that Rail Safety
Regulator (RSR) CEO Mpho Litha has been suspended pending a
disciplinary process, which has been under way since February.

At last, rail safety gets a champion
If South Africa and Africa hope to make rail the transport-mode of
choice for freight and passengers, then much more attention will
have to be given to the issue of safety.
