Altron

Altron is a South African technology group that provides information and communications technology solutions and services across multiple sectors. The company is headquartered in Johannesburg and operates primarily in South Africa and other African markets. Altron is listed on the JSE Securities Exchange, where it trades as a publicly held entity. The group's core activities span managed services, digital infrastructure, document solutions, and security technology. Its market position centres on enterprise technology services, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and business process outsourcing. Altron generates revenue in the billions of rand annually, serving corporate, government, and institutional clients. The company employs several thousand people across its operations. Principal subsidiaries and brands include Altron Document Solutions, which partners with global manufacturers such as Xerox, and Netstar, a vehicle tracking and fleet management business. Altron was founded in 1965 as Allied Technologies and has evolved through acquisitions and restructuring to focus on digital transformation and managed technology services.
