Air Products

Air Products is a global industrial gases and chemicals company that produces atmospheric gases, process gases, performance materials and equipment for a wide range of industries. The company is headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States, and operates in more than 50 countries across six continents. Air Products is a publicly traded corporation listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company's core products include oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and helium, which are supplied to customers in sectors including refining, chemicals, metals, electronics, manufacturing, food and beverage, and healthcare. Air Products has established a significant presence in the hydrogen economy, developing production, storage and distribution infrastructure for both industrial and clean energy applications. The company is actively involved in hydrogen projects in South Africa, partnering with local industry players to advance hydrogen production and fuel-cell technology as part of the country's energy transition and decarbonisation efforts. Air Products also manufactures process equipment such as air separation units, hydrogen plants and liquefied natural gas facilities. The company was founded in 1940 and has grown through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions to become one of the world's largest suppliers of industrial gases, with annual revenues exceeding $12-billion and a workforce of approximately 23 000 employees worldwide.
