William Nicol drive upgrade project, Gauteng, South Africa.

Client
The project is jointly funded by the developer, Steyn City Development, and the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport.

Project Description
The road construction project will link William Nicol drive to the N14 freeway, expand the road’s capacity and improve mobility and safety on what is an extremely busy arterial road.

The principal contractor will implement labour-intensive construction methods to install concrete kerbing, drains, gabions, stormwater outlet head walls and inlets, as well as road signs.

Value
R576-million.

Duration
The upgrade is scheduled to be completed by September 2017.
