Wescoal’s Mazarura appointed Kumba CFO

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Wescoal CFO and executive director Bothwell Mazarura has resigned to join Kumba Iron Ore as CFO and executive director, effective September 1.

Mazarura, who has worked at Wescoal since July 2016, holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree from the University of South Africa and is an accredited Chartered Accountant in England, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

“We are delighted that Bothwell has agreed to join Kumba. His extensive knowledge and experience make him an ideal fit. With a record of working across a broad range of sectors, he is a welcome addition to the team and I look forward to working with him,” said Kumba CEO Themba Mkhwanazi.

Kumba head of finance Johan Prins has been acting CFO since May 11 and will continue in this role until August 31.

Meanwhile, Wescoal is finalising the terms of the appointment of a new CFO and executive director to succeed Mazarura.
