Waterproof coating includes a free membrane

Plascon waterproofing Allseal and membrane

A newly formulated waterproofing acrylic sealer is designed for use with an external membrane to seal and bridge cracks and prevent leaks on roofs, cement plaster, concrete bagged walls and other exterior masonry surfaces.

Plascon Allseal waterproofing coating is said to be easy to use and economical and includes a free polyester membrane which is used to bridge and stop leaks on parapets, flashings, roofs joints and laps, wall and chimney cappings, as well as seal nail heads.

The system is specially formulated with a five-year quality guarantee and Plascon states that extensive testing shows excellent water resistance, weather and ultra-violet resistance and high flexibility so that it allows for expansion and contraction in the harsh South African climates without cracking or flaking.

The waterproofing system aims to ensure that exterior surfaces are protected for longer, saving time and money. The coating includes a thixotropic gel structure which allows for easy application and ensures for a thicker film build, designed to make it impervious to the elements. Plascon AllSeal also has an environment-friendly water-based formulation.

Plascon’s new coating will soon be available in a low sheen finish in eight different roofing colours.
