Wacker Neuson expanding in Southern Africa as it celebrates 175 years

Construction, agriculture and forestry machinery and equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson gave media and guests a tour of its Gauteng product centre, as part of its 175th anniversary celebrations. Schalk Burger has more.

Wacker Neuson demonstrated its various construction, agriculture and forestry machinery on the day, and guests could use its equipment to play various games as part of the celebrations.

Wacker Neuson Southern Africa MD Dennis Vietze told media on the day that the company is expanding its presence across Southern Africa as part of its 2025 strategy, and it continues to sign partnership agreements in countries across Africa.

He also spoke about the introduction of battery powered zero-emissions equipment into South Africa and current uses in Europe, although the use of this equipment locally is expected to be niche and to lag developed regions for several years.
