Vodacom chairperson Peter Moyo will step down from the board at the company’s annual general meeting on July 18.
He will join Old Mutual Emerging Markets as CEO in June.
“The board thanks Peter for his leadership and dedication over the past seven years,” the company said in a statement.
Moyo joined Vodacom at listing in May 2009 and has made a considerable contribution to the board both in its governance and in its deliberations.
The company is still in the process of identifying a successor to Moyo.
