The Competition Tribunal has confirmed a R10.62-million settlement agreement with Pride Milling for price fixing in the market for milled white maize products.

The Competition Commission had initiated a complaint against Tiger Brands, Pioneer Foods, Foodcorp, Pride Milling and Progress Milling in the maize milling industry for allegedly concluding agreements where they would fix the prices of milled white products and the dates when the prices would be implemented.

Tiger Brands and Premier Food are leniency applicants.
