Transair®, the original aluminium pipework systems for industrial fluids, launches its new diameter 50 mm (DN50 - 2’’)

A complete solution - pipes, fittings and accessories - complementing existing 16.5 mm to 168 mm pipes sizes which combines all Transair® advantages

Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has expanded its already comprehensive range of Transair lightweight aluminium pipework system with the introduction of a new innovative design version to meet the demands of strength and flexibility. Adapted to all industrial sectors and types of projects, the new 2” (50 mm) diameter pipe system has been designed to strengthen the existing range of 16.5 mm to 168 mm pipe diameter sizes.

Developed as a clean and efficient alternative to traditional galvanised steel compressed air handling systems, Transair pipework system features exceptionally smooth bores to ensure optimal flow characteristics, superior energy efficiency and a total absence of corrosion and pollution, enabling compressed air customers to drive down operating costs while improving functionality, productivity and profitability significantly. Indeed, the capital and operating costs of the Transair system are typically less than 10% of those of a traditional steel welded pipe system, over a 10 year period.
This revolutionary pipework system is rapid and easy to fit, ensuring a leak free mechanical connection without the need for crimping, gluing or welding, and offers ultimate flexibility in use, giving a maximum return on investment, as all components are interchangeable and completely reusable for future modifications. Aluminium Transair pipework networks are ultra robust, compact and lightweight, as well as being far easier to handle than galvanised steel equivalents that require considerable structural support.

Equally, the new 2” diameter version has a far lower carbon footprint due to the method of manufacture and reduced use of electricity, which can be as much as 70% less than traditional galvanised steel. Parker has improved its technology on the 50 mm with the new SnapRing clamp. This one-piece clamp can be placed using only one hand, it is easier to install, from the side of the pipe, and it has the best technical performances. Thanks to the innovative SnapRing technology, the new 50 mm diameter meets the highest safety standards. It is shock resistant and adapted to harsh environments.

As with all Parker products, the Transair system is backed by a ten year guarantee along with the company’s global network of manufacturing, sales and customer support centers.
