Trade surplus jumps to R12bn in June

South Africa's trade surplus widened to R12-billion ($917-million) in June from a revised R3.84-billion surplus in May, data from the revenue agency showed on Tuesday.

Exports rose by 7.1% on a month-on-month basis to R110-billion in June, while imports dipped 0.9% to R98-billion, the South African Revenue Service said in a statement.
