Thermo ground wood line upgrade, Brazil

Name of the Project
Thermo ground wood line upgrade.

Location
The project is located in Fazenda Levantina Camanducaia, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Client
Melhoramentos Florestal.

Project Description
The thermo ground wood line processes eucalyptus and pine as raw material to produce unbleached and bleached market thermo ground wood pulp for local board and tissue producers.

The project will replace the existing spray-bleaching system in the dewatering machine with a 125-air-dried-metric-tonne-a-day high-consistency peroxide bleaching stage to achieve the highest brightness levels at the lowest consumption of chemicals.

A universally applicable twin wire press will be installed to dewater pulp to a dryness of up to 33%, followed by a high-consistency mixer to guarantee the gentle blending of pulp and chemicals. To achieve even retention time in the bleach tower, a new discharge system will be installed to ensure continuous and uniform pulp discharge.

The project also includes a complete wet lap system and finishing line. The finishing line consists of various pallet conveyors.
