JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Aim-listed Baobab Resources reported on Wednesday that the cadastre division of the Mozambique National Department for Mines (DNM) had accepted its mining concession application overlying the Tete pig-iron and ferrovanadium project.
Once granted, the mining concession would be valid for 25 years and renewable for a further 25 years.
Following a series of meetings with the DNM advisory team, Baobab had also submitted a mining contract for review and presentation to the Mozambique Cabinet.
Baobab expected the mining concession and mining contract to be granted before the end of January 2015.
