TERRIFYING TYPHOON

Victims of Typhoon Haiyan pictured here waiting for relief supplies near a tattered Philippine flag in Hernani, Samar. The storm swept through the Asian country’s central regions, killing thousands and leaving people to scavenge for food, water and medicine. In the wake of the storm, Naderev Sano, a member of the Philippines Climate Change Commission, launched a hunger strike at the United Nations climate conference in Poland, saying the climate crisis “madness” must stop “right here in Warsaw”.
