Following a September cautionary announcement, telecommunications group Telkom on Monday confirmed it is in talks to buy South Africa’s third-largest telecommunications operator Cell C.
Telkom said it was currently performing due diligence on Cell C and continuing discussions over a potential transaction.
Earlier this year, Cell C’s parent Oger Telecom said it was mulling the possible sale of its 75% stake in Cell C.
