Telkom launches uncapped Internet plan for small business

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) would be able to take advantage of uncapped Internet as Telkom this week launched its range of Business Uncapped Internet Usage Plan products.

The plan would allow five users from small offices to access uncapped Internet at rates ranging from R249 a month for speeds of 1 Mb/s with the Business Uncapped Basic, to R2 999 a month for 40 Mb/s through the Business Uncapped Elite+.

The new product enabled customers to access “middle-of-the-range” product offerings between Telkom’s Business SoftCapped, which restricted services like streaming and peer-to-peer after the preset usage limit had been reached, and Premium Uncapped, which allowed multiple concurrent users prioritisation on a high-speed and high-performance network at any time of the day.

“The idea is to give small businesses priority on the network during office hours, allowing for an uncapped Internet experience suitable for business-essential Internet functions like browsing, email and file transfer,” said Telkom business broadband and Internet executive Carel Booysen.
