Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 66 MW wind farm in Edirne, in western Turkey.

The wind farm will comprise twenty 3.3 MW wind turbines.

Once completed, the Suloglu wind power plant will have a total estimated production of about 234 000 MWh/y, which will prevent the emission of more than 107 600 t/y of carbon dioxide.

It will provide enough electricity to cover the residential electricity consumption of more than 40 000 people in Turkey.

Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order for twenty V126-3.3 MW turbines for the Suloglu wind power plant.

The contract includes the supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines. The contract also includes a ten-year full-scope Active Output Management 4000 service and availability agreement to maximise the wind turbines’ performance and bolster the customer’s business case certainty.
