JSE- and ASX-listed multidisciplinary engineering, project delivery and operations management group DRA Global CFO Michael Sucher has decided to step down from his role to pursue other opportunities.

Sucher joined DRA Global in December 2021 and was CFO and served as a member of the executive committee from May 2022.

Wiehann Joubert has been appointed acting CFO while the company recruits a successor.

Joubert is currently the Management Reporting and Business Partnering GM and is based in Johannesburg.

He has been with the company for over five years and has worked closely with Sucher during his time with DRA, the company points out.

Sucher will support an effective and orderly transition with the acting CFO over the next six weeks.

Also, Andrew Bickley will leave the company with immediate effect as a result of the decision to outsource company secretarial activities.

Tony Bevan has been appointed by the board as company secretary with immediate effect.

Bevan is a chartered accountant and professional company secretary. He is currently the company secretary of two ASX-listed mining and exploration companies.

He holds a BComm from the University of Western Australia and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

The board thanked Bickley for his contribution to the company and wished him the best in his future endeavours.

“Michael stepped into the CFO role at a particularly challenging period for the company. We have valued Michael’s financial and strategic leadership through a period where the company has significantly improved its financial position.

“We have appreciated Andrew’s support and guidance to the board during his time with the company and we wish both of them well for the future,” DRA Global CEO and MD James Smith comments.
