There may be much debate about the effectiveness of the latest round of sanctions imposed on Russia following the shooting down of Flight MH17 in July. However, there seems to be less debate about the need to send a strong signal to Russia and its President, Vladimir Putin, over Russia’s destabilisation of Ukraine.
